Have we hurt you sometime in the past? If so, we’re truly sorry! We invite you to hear our apology and attempt to make things right on Sunday, May 4 at 10:30am at Langdon Community Church located at 23 Centre Street North in Langdon at a special Service of Repentance & Reconciliation.

Though our church has faithfully proclaimed the good news of Jesus Christ throughout its 95-year history, we’ve also at times hurt or wounded individuals through unChrist-like words and actions. We’re truly saddened by this reality. We will seek to publicly own up to our failures and attempt to make things right with those whom we have hurt on Sunday, May 4. While everyone in the community and area are welcome to attend (not just on May 4, but anytime), we especially encourage anyone who formerly attended LCC and has been hurt by unChrist-like words or actions to come and hear our apology.

No one will be named or embarrassed in the service. We will not point blame toward anyone other than ourselves. However, if you wish to address anything personal in your past experiences with LCC, our church leaders will gladly make an appointment to speak with you directly and do our best to acknowledge and apologize for any wrong you’ve experienced. We’re trusting that this public apology and our repentant hearts will serve to break past cycles of dysfunction and set us and those whom we have hurt free to walk new paths of healing and wholeness.

We will conclude the service with a pot-luck meal at 12:00am. We encourage you to bring a dish of your favourite food to share in this communal meal of celebration after the service.

Should you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at info@langdonchurch.ca. We hope you will join us on Sunday, May 4 at 10:30am for this special moment in LCC’s spiritual journey.
